This new Library for the University of Southern Mississippi’s Gulf Park Campus is a 54,000 square foot, three-story facility that houses the permanent collection, as well as provides office space, classroom space, computer laboratories, group study rooms, and conference rooms for both faculty and students.  The Library incorporates the latest technology in data and communications systems on the interior, while maintaining a very traditional exterior appearance that compliments the existing adjacent stucco and clay tile structures.  The building is located across the pedestrian  bridge to the Advanced Education Center, and is designed to serve as a link between the older historic campus to the south and the future growth to be located in the northern portion of the campus.
