College of Health

University of Southern Mississippi

Hattiesburg, Mississippi

This 90,000 square foot major capital improvement project will provide consolidated instructional space, research facilities, and administrative offices for the multiple Schools located within the College of Health that are currently dispersed across the campus.  The design intent is to provide a new state of the art building that offers a professional atmosphere and learning environment for both faculty and students that is reflective of the work that takes place within the College.  This project also plays an important role in the planned physical expansion of the campus in accordance with the recently completed campus master plan document.  Due to its function and location, it will serve as a keystone to the emerging academic region of the campus and will serve as a link between the old and the new.  Designed in association with Eley Associates, this project is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council and is targeted to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
